Deck demolition is a heavy, time-consuming job that needs the right tools and a strong crew. We handle the full process — deconstruction, debris sorting and complete haul-away — for one all-inclusive price. No separate disposal fees, no leftover pile in your yard.

We take down decks of all sizes and materials, carefully detaching decks attached to the house and taking care with your siding, and we carry $2M liability insurance. Concrete footings set in the ground are left in place (digging those out is a separate excavation job), and any permits are the homeowner’s responsibility.

How much does deck demolition cost in Halifax?
Deck demolition is priced by the size of the deck and how much material comes out — one all-inclusive price covers labour, teardown and full haul-away, with no separate dump fees. Send a photo or a few details and we'll confirm a firm quote before we start. HST is additional.
Do you tear down the deck and haul everything away?
Yes — that's the whole service. We dismantle the deck, load every board, and haul it all away, so you don't lift a finger. When we're done the site is cleared and swept, with no debris or hardware left behind.
Can you remove a large or multi-level deck?
Yes. Our crew handles decks of all sizes, including large, raised and multi-level decks. Bigger structures simply take more time and truck space, which is reflected in your quote — confirmed up front before any work begins.
What types of decks can you demolish?
We take down all common types — pressure-treated wood, cedar, composite and PVC decking — along with the framing, joists and posts. Whatever it's built from, we dismantle it and haul the material away.
Can you remove a deck attached to the house?
Yes. We routinely remove decks attached to the house, carefully detaching them from the ledger board and taking care with your siding. Free-standing decks are no problem either.
Are you insured for deck demolition?
We're a registered Nova Scotia company with $2M liability insurance — certificate on request. That protects your property and everyone on site, and it's worth confirming any deck crew carries proper coverage before they start.
Can you remove the stairs and railings too?
Yes. Stairs, railings, skirting and built-in benches or planters all come out as part of the job. If there's deck furniture or other junk to go too, just add it to the load and we'll take it in the same trip.
Do you remove the concrete footings or posts in the ground?
We remove the deck down to ground level, but we leave concrete footings and posts set in the ground in place — digging those out is a separate excavation job. If you'd like them out, let us know and we'll talk through the options.
Do I need a permit to demolish my deck?
Some deck demolitions in HRM may require a permit, and arranging that is the homeowner's responsibility. It's worth a quick check with the municipality before we start, especially for larger or attached decks.
How soon can you remove an old deck?
Often within a day or two — we schedule fast across Halifax, Dartmouth and Bedford, seven days a week. Send a photo for a quote and we'll book you the earliest slot that works.
Can you also remove a hot tub or shed at the same time?
