This Privacy Policy explains how Anytime Junk Removal Inc. ("Anytime Junk", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit anytimejunk.ca or book our services in Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford and the surrounding Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).

1. Information you give us

When you book, call, text or email us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, details about the items or job, any photos or videos you send or upload for a quote, and your preferred date and time. Calls to our business lines may be recorded and summarized by our phone provider so we can follow up accurately. We only ask for what we need to quote and complete your job.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we automatically collect some technical information through cookies and analytics — such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you found our site. We use this to understand traffic and improve the site.

3. Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure website traffic and how well our advertising works — for example, which ads or pages lead to bookings and calls. Google Ads also uses remarketing: after you visit our site, Google may show you our ads on other websites and apps. These tools set cookies in your browser (named _ga, _ga_…, _gcl_au and _gcl_aw), kept for up to 400 days for Analytics and 90 days for Ads. Our reviews widget (Trustindex) and the Google Maps address suggestions load from those companies’ servers, which receive your IP address. Blocking cookies won’t stop you from booking.

4. How we use your information

We use your information to prepare quotes and estimates; schedule, dispatch and complete your job; text you about your booking (a confirmation, a reminder, an arrival time with a live tracking link, and one review request after the job); review the photos you send for a quote; keep records; train our team using past conversations; and improve our website, service and advertising. We do not use your details for unrelated purposes, and we do not send marketing messages.

5. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed below, and only as needed to run our business, and we may disclose information where required by law.

6. Third-party services

These are the service providers that may handle your information for us, and where they are based:

• Google (United States) — Analytics and Ads on our website, and the address suggestions in our booking form (what you type in the address box is sent to Google Maps as you type).
• Netlify (United States) — hosts this website and keeps a backup copy of account and cleanout requests sent from our forms.
• Hetzner (Germany) — the server that runs our booking and dispatch system, where your booking, address, photos, videos and messages are stored.
• Twilio and Quo (United States) — send and receive our texts and calls, including call recordings and summaries.
• Square (Canada and United States) — card payments.
• Microsoft 365 — our business email.
• OpenStreetMap services (Nominatim and Photon, Europe) — find your address on the map in our dispatch system.
• Anthropic (United States) — an AI assistant our office uses to look up and summarise job records.
• Trustindex (European Union) — shows our Google reviews on this website.

Because some of these providers are outside Canada, your information may be stored and processed in the United States, Germany and other countries, where it is subject to those countries’ laws and may be accessed by their courts and authorities. We choose providers that protect personal information, and each handles it under its own privacy policy and its agreement with us.

7. Data retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet our business and legal obligations (tax law requires us to keep business records for six years), and maintain reasonable records. When it is no longer needed, we take steps to remove it.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. To stop booking texts, reply STOP to any message. To make a request, email contact@anytimejunk.ca or call 902-609-8989. We will respond within 30 days.

9. How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

10. Children's privacy

Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above.
