A console upright on a ground floor is the starting price; a full studio upright, a baby grand, or anything coming up from a basement or down two flights costs more. Weight, type and location. Weight ranges from about 300 lbs for a spinet to over 1,000 for a full grand, and that decides the crew size. Type decides the method — grands come apart and travel on a skid board, uprights go out whole on a piano dolly. Location is usually the biggest factor: stairs, tight turns, narrow doorways and long carries all add time and risk.

Yes. Grands are dismantled first — the legs and lyre come off and the body goes onto a skid board — which is the only safe way to get one through a door. Baby grands, full grands and concert grands are all fine; the size affects the price, not whether we'll take it.

No — that's a piano mover's job, not ours. Movers carry instrument insurance for a piano you're keeping. We remove pianos you're getting rid of. If you're not sure which you need, call us and we'll tell you straight.

Most old uprights have no resale value left, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we do is recover what's genuinely recyclable: the cast-iron plate inside a piano is 150–200 lbs of scrap steel, and the case is wood. Both go to recycling wherever the condition allows, rather than straight to the landfill.

Yes. Floors, doorframes and banisters get covered before anything moves. A piano is heavy enough that the damage risk is real, which is why we protect the route first rather than working around it.

Yes, we're fully insured. That matters more on a piano than on almost anything else we take, because of the weight and the stairs.

Clear the route if you can — rugs, furniture and anything in the hallway. Take the lid, music stand and any loose parts off if they lift out easily. Everything else is ours.
