Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you book junk removal, cleanouts or demolition with Anytime Junk Removal.
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the services provided by Anytime Junk Removal Inc. ("Anytime Junk", "we", "us" or "our") to you (the "customer") in Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford and the surrounding Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). By booking a pickup, cleanout or demolition with us — online, by phone, or by text — you agree to these Terms.
1. Our services
We provide residential and commercial junk removal, furniture and appliance removal, mattress removal, estate and property cleanouts, electronics and cardboard recycling, and light demolition such as decks, sheds, hot tubs, playsets and trampolines. We serve Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford and the rest of HRM, seven days a week.
2. Quotes and estimates
Estimates given by phone, text or from a photo are approximate and provided for convenience. Your final price is confirmed on site before any work begins, based on the volume of material, the truck space it uses, and access. Quotes are valid for 30 days. If the actual job differs materially from what was described (more items, restricted access, or materials we don't accept), we may revise the price before starting or decline the job.
3. Pricing and payment
Pricing is volume-based — you pay for the space your items take in our truck — starting at our published minimum, with a lower rate available when you book online and add a photo. HST is additional. There are no hidden fees: the price we confirm before starting is the price you pay. Payment is due in full upon completion of the work. We accept cash, Interac e-Transfer, and credit and debit cards.
Price-beat guarantee. If you have a written quote for the same work from a legitimate, comparable competitor, show it to us and we will beat it by 5%. This applies to written quotes for equivalent scope only and is confirmed before work begins.
4. Booking, scheduling and access
Same-day and next-day service is offered subject to availability. Arrival times are estimated windows, not guarantees; we aim to give you a heads-up before we head your way. You are responsible for providing safe, clear and legal access to the items being removed. An adult (18+) should be available at the property, or access arrangements confirmed with us in advance. We are not responsible for delays caused by inaccessible sites, locked areas, or unsafe conditions.
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
Plans change — if you need to cancel or reschedule, we appreciate at least 24 hours' notice so we can offer the slot to someone else. No deposit is required to book; payment is collected only when the work is done.
6. Items we cannot take
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot accept hazardous or regulated materials, including fuels, propane and pressurized tanks, paint, solvents and chemicals, motor oil, automotive batteries, asbestos, biohazard or medical waste, ammunition, and items infested with bed bugs. We also do not haul heavy dense materials such as concrete, brick or rubble loads, soil, dirt, rock or gravel; roofing shingles, asphalt or roof tear-off debris; small amounts of clean concrete or brick mixed into a general renovation load may be accepted at our discretion. See our full What We Don't Take page. We reserve the right to leave behind or decline any item that falls outside these Terms.
7. Appliance and fixture disconnection
Our crew will unplug and remove appliances and haul them away. For safety, water lines (for washers, dishwashers and plumbed refrigerators), gas supply (shut off at the valve), and any hardwired or 240V electrical connections must be disconnected before we arrive, by you or a qualified professional. We do not perform plumbing, gas or electrical disconnection work.
8. Demolition services
For deck, shed, hot tub, playset and similar demolition, one all-inclusive price covers labour, teardown and haul-away. You are responsible for: obtaining any permits required by the municipality; confirming the structure is safe and appropriate to remove; draining hot tubs and disconnecting utilities (power, gas, water) before we arrive. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, concrete footings, slabs and in-ground anchors are left in place, and we do not fill, regrade or restore holes or ground left after removal.
9. Property access, liability and claims
Our crew takes reasonable care of your property while removing items. Anytime Junk carries liability insurance. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for wear consistent with moving heavy or bulky items through the access routes you direct us to use, or for indirect or consequential losses. Any claim for damage must be reported to us within 7 days of the service, with reasonable detail and photos where possible, so we can investigate.
10. Recycling, disposal and your data
We dispose of what we collect responsibly and recycle where possible, in line with municipal and provincial requirements. For electronics, we can securely destroy the data on hard drives and provide a certificate of destruction on request; however, you remain responsible for backing up and removing any personal or sensitive data before pickup. Once items are collected, ownership and disposal pass to us.
11. Right to refuse service
We may decline or stop a job where conditions are unsafe for our crew, where materials are hazardous or were misrepresented, where access is unreasonable, or where continuing would breach these Terms or the law.
12. Photos and privacy
We may take before-and-after photos of a job for our records and, where appropriate, promotional use, without identifying you personally. Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Circumstances beyond our control
We are not liable for failure or delay in performing where caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, road or site conditions, or other circumstances of force majeure. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule promptly.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Nova Scotia.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you book applies to that booking. The latest version is always posted on this page.
