Furniture, appliances, electronics, renovation debris, hot tubs — if it fits in our truck, we’ll haul it. The only things we can’t take are hazardous or regulated materials that need special handling. It’s not us being picky — these items are illegal to landfill and unsafe to transport with regular junk. Most of these can be dropped off at HRM’s Household Special Waste depot — it’s built to handle exactly this kind of material safely. Here’s where to go.
The depot takes most of what we can’t — paint, gasoline, motor oil, antifreeze, solvents, pesticides, aerosols, propane tanks, batteries, lightbulbs and more.
