Mattresses are bulky and awkward to get down the stairs — but they’re one of the easiest things for us to take off your hands. Our crew carries the mattress out from any bedroom or floor, along with the box spring and frame if you like, and hauls it all away. You don’t drag anything down the stairs.

We take every size and dispose of mattresses responsibly, recycling where possible. Stained or wet mattresses are fine; the only thing we can’t take is a mattress with bed bugs. Volume-based pricing across Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford and HRM, with same-day and next-day availability.

How much does mattress removal cost in Halifax?
A single mattress fits our $135 minimum — or as little as $110 when you book online and add a quick photo (save up to $25). More mattresses or a full bedroom cost a bit more, based on truck space. You get a firm quote before we start; HST is additional.
What mattress sizes do you take?
Every size — twin, double, queen, king and crib mattresses — plus box springs, bed frames and adjustable bases. One mattress or a houseful.
Do you take mattresses with bed bugs or heavy stains?
We can't take mattresses with bed bugs — those need specialized disposal for everyone's safety. Stained, soiled or wet mattresses are fine too — same price as a clean one. See What We Don't Take.
Do you recycle mattresses?
We dispose of them responsibly and recycle where possible. Nova Scotia has no province-wide mattress recycling program, so there's no public depot to drop one at. If you'd rather do it yourself, HRM will take a mattress at the curb on your garbage day for free — see our guide to getting rid of a mattress in Halifax. We're the answer when you can't carry it out or can't wait for collection day.
Do I need to move the mattress downstairs first?
No — leave it where it is. Our crew carries the mattress out from any room or floor, whether it's an upstairs bedroom or the basement.
Do you take the bed frame and box spring too?
Yes. We take box springs, bed frames and headboards along with the mattress, and can break down frames if needed to get them out.
Can you remove a mattress the same day?
Often, yes — same-day and next-day pickup across HRM, seven days a week. Call 902-609-8989 or book online for the earliest slot.
Do I have to be home for a mattress pickup?
If the mattress is accessible — a porch, garage, curb or unlocked unit — we can often handle it without you there. Just leave access instructions when you book.
Can you remove several mattresses or clear a whole bedroom?

Do you protect walls and floors?
Yes. Our crew takes care moving mattresses through doorways, hallways and stairwells, and works to avoid marking walls, floors or trim.
